(This started with The Pioneer Woman, but I found it through Mama Kat and her weekly writing prompts. I borrowed it from tales of rachel
I am almost 55 years old and I have never done the following:
- visited any theme park or Disney venue
- taken a ride in a hot air balloon
- flown in a glider
- had a driver’s license (only a beginner’s permit)
- lived in Maine
- pierced anything except my earlobes (twice)
- bought a microwave oven for myself
- owned a smart phone
- played a musical instrument well (except for the kazoo)
- had a church wedding
- watched any of the teen vampire tv shows and movies (or read the books)
- read a Harry Potter book
- been to a professional baseball or football game
- canoed/hiked/camped the backcountry of
Kejimkujik national park (Nova Scotia) - visited the Midwest, south, southwest or Florida
- won big on the lottery
- dyed my hair an outrageous colo(u)r (on purpose, lol)
- been arrested for any reason (fingers crossed that continues!)
- climbed Moro Rock (Sequoia National Park) to join the butterflies and hummingbirds
- eaten caviar (or want to!)
- been to a Broadway play
Determined to have my driver’s license by age 60; then take that trip to the states I’ve never been to, especially the southwest. After climbing Morrow Rock, I think I’ll be ready for the backcountry of keji. Before 60, I want to have those balloon and glider rides. Then, settle down in a nice quiet small town in Maine. As for #1, 11, 12, 18, and 20: I hope I never actually achieve those!
And, I meant to add at the end of the post:
What are your undone 21? Any must dos or don’ts on your list?
Not the Lion King! Haven’t even seen the Disney flick. The hair on the back of my head once developed a greenish sheen after a colo(u)ring and then a perm (or perhaps in the other order), but no purples, blues, or oranges (yet).
I used to go see plays when I lived in Halifax (including Exqus pre-Harry Potter fellow) including a fantastic Chekov play with Tony Randall. In London, I saw the King and I with Yul Brenner. But Broadway, no. Hope we win the lottery.
I think we should dye our hair together, and then see a Broadway play. You’ve never seen a Broadway play? Scandalous. I will be buying lottery tickets so I can win money to treat you to any show you want to see. (Not even the Lion King??) Depressed and Dismayed, Laurie
