sad pugishness as a metaphor for how I feel today

Getting your head above the parapet...

Getting your head above the parapet… (Photo credit: Wikipedia) which has nothing to do with the post but zemata suggested it and I think he/she is cute!

Windows Live Writer is not my blog drafter of choice and I only use it when I have a picture gallery to post. Sorry I can’t get the font any bigger.

Mango, affectionately know as Mang ghe, for those of you who haven’t met him, is a 15 year or so year old neighbo(u)r’s/friend’s pug who has adopted hubby and I. He hasn’t been feeling great, so when he was out lying in the sun today, I got out my camera.

I gave him lots of cuddles, scratches, and hugs – he gave me lots of nuzzles and his version of purring. The picture shoot (there are about 12 shots in total) and cuddling took over an over an hour. So, here is a small representation of sad pugishness as a metaphor for how I feel right now. (No captions – you can imagine your own!)

And Max – Mang ghe says hello, and hopes your human is giving you lots of cuddles and doggie treats!

    • thanks — hope you and lexi are doing okay — weather hasn’t been great for walks for the two of you with the thunder storms and such. Mang ghe says hi to Lexi (he has memory problems — he’s 15 after all, lol and should have included him with Max!)

    • pugs are quite cute and have great personalities. In many ways, Mang ghe thinks he is a cat: he almost purrs when you scratch him just right, he likes to play with things like a kitten, etc.
Mang ghe says hi to Ari-flat-face and to you, Kate, too! And we both say thanks for the kind words!

    • Thanks. Being adopted means we have all the fun without the troublesome bits like feeding, training, worrying about messes on the floor! (Though often we do pet sit which is fun) Since we move alot, and hubby has allergies, we don’t have to worry about unrooting and finding a place that takes pets. We usually end up some where where a cat or dog takes a liking to us.

I've done all the "talking" so far. Now its your turn. Comments give me a snapshot of myself, like reflecting images in a mirror.
