Fare thee well: cot #210

Time to say goodbye
one word; so many meanings
release, relief
sorrow and grief
a parting of the ways
on pleasant terms
or painful
marks as a triumph
scars as a loss
shouted loud from a roof-top
whispered in the silence of a tomb
slash of your obit
carefulness of a memoir
one word; so many meanings
write your own
your calligraphy
your font
your joy and sorrow
one word; so many meanings
Thanks Keith. Good bye can be such a hard word to say. Fare thee well and all the best.

sunday’s quiet entertainment
yawning at day’s end

 know that time will pass
see it swirling
in early morning coffee cups
and feel it late night’s dreaming
for Monday’s a rush and revolution
t
urning, tuning, changing
waiting for that season‘s passage for the vernal equinox
or summer solstice
time marked by ancient practice

druid, incan, mayan, shaman
knew that time would pass again
charted in the passage of seasons
but now we have clocks and smart phones
should we leave the sleepy world behind
saying good bye to past tomorrows
today’s enough to spend
oh and time will pass

for there’s monday’s revolution
time and passage blend again
