Looks a little sad there all on its own.

Yes, it does. Someone was using it to store hay.
On the same road, there was the most wonderful, little house — abandoned, too — situated in a small grove of trees with rolling hills behind. One trip, it was gone. We used to slow down by the spot and “wave” at the missing house. No one seemed to use the land, so we don’t know why the house was removed.

I really like your choice of photos for this challenge. In my opinion a really good photo should make you think about the story it tells. The faded colors of the once bright home made me think about the people who may have once lived there. Their home, their hopes and dreams, for whatever reason all abandoned.

I feel the same way. I’m sure these abandoned houses echo with the stories of the generations who lived there; their joys and sorrows; children’s laughter; kitchen conversations; bedroom secrets; and the house’s sigh as it was left alone to crumble.

I love dialogue. Do you?
