one word photo challenge: Periwinkle

I knew there was a mollusk and a flower named periwinkle. I wiki’d the flower:

    Periwinkle was on the property next too ours and it completely took over and “did in” what we had planted. Not only pervasive but persistent – the flowers are pretty.

      These are growing in a local park. Wild or left from the days of settlement.
