mindlovemisery’s photo challenge 10 the waking hour: Talisman

the waking hour

I quietly, softly

climb down

my sleeping ladder

to slither

past your defenses

to break-in

into your heart

but your alarm

your talisman

hoots to wake you

to close the window

carelessly left open

lest I steal inside

to take your soul

before the waking hour

Every whisper
Of every waking hour
I’m choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you

      Thanks!
I literally walked around the image, and tried to incorporate the surreal into a “real” poem.

Thanks — great prompt picture to play with. I “walked” around the image, then set my thoughts to page.

Hmm…this is very mysterious, kind of scary, like a ghost or something who wants to do some haunting! Loved it!
