#fwf petrichor : we smell of rain

Rain

WE SMELL OF RAIN

our bodies

overheated

by the sere

winds of passion

we hold hands

and run outside

rain sluicing our

skins

steam rising

our embrace

is wet slippery

but as passionate

as the desert winds of

desire

we smell live love

we smell like passion

we smell like the world

washed clean by the rain

Passionate love has a certain earthly spice and tang to it. Mixed with the heat and the relief of rain and watch out! I enjoyed reading this!

Loved reading this. I could imagine the lovers in the rain, their passion matching the downpour of the rain.

Thanks Colline. Honestly, it just popped into my head, wrote itself out and there it was!
Lovers in the rain is a very powerful image, and I like your idea of their passion matching the downpour of the rain.
