one word photo challenge: carmine

This was the 30+ year old indestructible carpet in my mother’s house. A friend and I always debated if this was originally intended for a funeral home or a house of ill repute. (My apologies if I’m hallucinating about the carmine.)

I actually kind of like the carpet. Haha. Seems like it might be hard on the eyes to sit in that room for long though. Sure is red :P Thanks for sharing.

You are welcome. I imagine one of the first things the buyers did when renovating the house into two apartments was rip up the carpet. I bet that it would last longer in land fill than plastic bags and bottles, lol

haha oh goodness, I’m starting to picture a live carpet eating everything up around it- the other landfill residents are very scared.

Believe me, this is the Godzilla of carpets.
My parents found it was just too much to sleep and watch tv with a monster under their feet and in their closet, lol.
