one word photo challenge: Navy

Let’s hope my photo gallery holds enough colours. I have to choose between a camera and shoes. D**n – hard choice to make.

Two pieces of pottery my parents brought back from Russia with a definite navy attitude.

They are some of the beautiful ceramic and wooden pieces my parents brought back from their time in the USSR. They also traveled extensively by trains to other SSRs (This is all pre-Grobachaf — spelling is wrong) from Latvia and Lithuania to places in the east (some of the “stans” now) and to Stalingrad. Unfortunately, we had to leave the items, not my parents, instorage, and I am worried about what I will find when I finally go back to where Dad retired to.

That’s wonderful. I’m sure some will be intact when you go back to the storage area. If not, while or course disappointing, you still have the photos and the memories :)

True, there are pictures of every thing some one. Think I downloaded on to a CD.

Thanks. There are other ceramic pieces. They also brought back some “folk” art, Easter eggs, and a whole lot of other things that sit in storage til I can get back and retrieve them.

Yes. They had a set of dishes, if made in a certain porcelain factory would be worth a lot. Theirs were made at the other factory, so I “sold” them to a friend.
