My brother-in-law’s surgery was scheduled for 10:30 pm pacific/7:30 pm eastern time tonight. (I didn’t realize the operation was that late.)
There was been a delay. The stem cells, being flown in from another country, won’t arrive until tomorrow morning. Operation is now scheduled for 9:30 am pacific/6:30 am eastern time.
The term “stem cells” might have you wondering. Stem cells don’t only exist in babies and umbilical cords. We have stem cells to. In this case, the stem cells are generated by the donor (who is given medication to speed up their growth). Then hi tech takes over. The whole procedure for the donor is much easier than previously. The procedure for my brother-in-law will be more complex. High tech assistance and skilled surgeons, inject these stem cells into his spine. The idea being, the increased stem cells will attack the cancer.
So, thank you for good thoughts today. Could you carry them over to tomorrow?
Thanks – I do appreciate it.
