the chrysalis

Check 18.

We danced our semi-circle. In unison. Stepping hard on the grass circles set into the paving stones. The mini-monoliths were the capstones of the stasis chambers. Each stasis chamber contained thousands of compartments with chrysalises.

We checked on the viability of each chrysalis. Made sure the stasis equipment was running correctly.

In our protective suits, we moved towards the next mini-monolith. We are members of the Insect Keepers. My brother is a Reptile Keeper. Ralph’s wife is an Orchid Keeper.

We try to hold on to hope. Some day we will open all the stasis chambers, and Earth will live again.

      Most welcome.
I like picture prompts because they especially drawn people into them like a gateway to a path of infinite possibilities.
I think I will pop in again.
