One of the best parts of being a dual Canadian/American citizen is celebrating holidays twice. More fireworks, more turkey.

Day is Canada Day; once know as Dominion Day. Canada was a dominion within the British Empire.

The celebrations began 1 July 1867. Happy Birthday Canada!
