I make you free

On Wednesdays, Lori Carlson of The Rattling Bones posts a poetry prompt. The theme this week (13) is: freedom

I make you free

of your bonds.

The heavy chain

of love gone sour.

Your eyes told me

of your need

for release.

Withholding

your touch

confirmed it.

What will you do

with your freedom?

Spend it wisely.

Your next lover

may not be

so understanding.

Just letting ex-lover know what he/she has lost. Understanding is a scarce commodity for some.

Ahh, romance/ex-romance in a poem brings out the best and worse in a person.
