north star bright

Not a hymn, ode, or anthem to Spring, or rebirth. Just a light, rhyming shadorma. (At least I think it is; still have the rhyming flu; not much I can do)

Love the rhyming shadorma .. how cool and hymn it might not be but I like it very very much! Happy New Year dearest Phylor!

Thank you. I appreciate your kind words especially as I am not great at structured poetry — free verse is my usual form.

So glad the “hymn” made you feel like skipping!
Hard to believe, but our first wintery weather storm of the season tonight (December 28). El Nino and climate change definitely have come calling. Signs of times to come.

      Thank you.
The moon has been incredible from solstice through to Christmas night. North star and dipper very clear in the sky. Raining now.

I like the idea of a seasonal “fight” – and the rhyming works so well.

      Thank you.
I’m in one of my rhyming spells — everything just comes out of my head that way — so I’m glad to hear that the rhyming works this time.
