write tomorrow in aquamarine

Week 92

tomorrow

I’ll swallow the affirmations

the bitter punitive taste

you ascribe to me

tomorrow

I’ll look in the mirror and

tepid pulchritude will stare back

with hollowed out eyes

tomorrow

I’ll flip the calendar

and trace my needs

in cursive letters

ink drawn

from my veins

tomorrow

I will close this

sad season with

arrhythmic potions

to silence my aching heart

I will write

tomorrow in

aquamarine

and become one with

the water of the sea

Written for Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Wordle #92 January 4, 2016 & Color Your World: 120 Days of Crayola: aquamarine (January 4, 2016) This is the 2nd installment for aquamarine. It is a wordle word!

I love the use of repetition and “tepid pulchritude” staring back at you from the mirror is fantastic!!

      Thank you.
Yves wordle words are always a challenge — and I thought putting tepid and pulchritude together was just odd enough to work. Thanks for letting me know it did!

      Thank you.
When I read that aquamarine was “water of the sea” it gave the word new meaning and to find it in this week’s wordle gave me the chance to use it twice.
