The Empress

I am not imperial

I do not smother

in my nurturing bosom

as my bosom is

mine alone

turn this card

around so the

imperial She

does not face me

mock me

in my sterility

my barrenness

in my aloneness

Tarot cards connect me with the invisible world. After a brief comment discussion with Yves, I wrote “tarot card reading.” For the Empress, I mentally flipped the card, and wrote a short poem.

this is a very powerful poem – with such “pregnant” meaning (I’m not being jokey here) – brilliantly executed with blade like precision – mind your scalpel!

Thanks — I won’t run with scalpel in hand!
As I told Carol, I was feeling my contrarian self when I read the description and wrote my piece.
