Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Photo Challenge 100

Clean up by Lemanshots

He felt sure if he scrubbed every window in which her face once appeared, he could wipe her memory out of his life. He’d start with the Square where they strolled, stopping at cafés.  So many windows. But then, now alone, what else did he have to do?

I am so impressed by this. That’s a perfect interpretation of the repetition in the picture!

It is a wonderful short piece Phylor :) Great response to the photo challenge.

I’ve often thought of this myself – and have even gone so far as to do it – literally exercising all the demons, bits and pieces left behind after an ending catastrophic ….. it only works to a certain degree ….. unlike your little piece here – works through and through.

    Cheers ~ Pat

When I looked at the picture, it seemed like he was washing her face out of the window. I must admit it took a while to figure out the story, but then I thought about how I’ve tried to expunge things from my memory, and it went from there.
I know about demons — a whole one can grow back from a small piece chopped up but left behind.
Thanks so much for your praise.
      How goes the weather?

Ugh …. damn weather ….. but at least for now …. it’s milder … where I’m at – we had at least the foot of snow – then the rain but mostly freezing rain – then more snow on top – so it’s total yuck – pretty but nasty ….. and then tonight – we deep freeze ourselves back to when hell decides to pack it in ;)

but honestly …. spring is coming …. spring is coming …..

Wow this is a very original thought … I could imagine trying to remove her from everywhere he’d been together with her .. sad but a cool idea!

I thought about trying to wash away sad or hurting memories, and he seemed to be washing her face out of the window frame.
Yeah, sad that he feels the need to remove all aspects of her from his life and memories.

San indeed … and probably a total waste of his energy .. but sometimes pain is like this which is why it can consume a person.

For me what I liked about this response was the image you conjured in my mind of him doing that, scrubbing away his past pain….clever response…
