The Passiflora caerulea has, as Pat explained in Tale Weaver 72, many names but passion flower; flower of five wounds; Jesus flower stuck out. Medieval Passion plays dealt with Christ’s final days on earth. One genus of Passiflora is Christ’s passion (or Jesus passion). So I’ve pulled together a slide show of flowers named for “actors” in such a drama and wrote a shadorma. Passion plays remain popular, being rediscovered by different generations.

Pulled together for Tale Weaver 72: Passiflora caerulea

    I echo Michael’s comments :)

You’ve done wonderful things with the TW prompt – great combination of images and words – so glad that you had fun with this – and thanks for sharing :)

I seem to be in teaching mode where the technology was more towards slides and my crazy slide shows for students.
