darkened waters

You look at me

caught in the ropes

I wove for you out

of stardust, tears,

lust and longing

Face yet unmarked

by worries wrinkles

Do your eyes plead for

a life line or a downward push?

I stare back

the mirror between us

but an illusion

you sit at my computer

I float just above the

darkened waters

There’s a sense of longing and realisation of something just out of reach…..great response to the image…

I was captured and captivated by the girl in the photo. She seemed to be looking directly at me, as if to change places. Strange feeling.

Oh my goodness–so powerful, goes deep inside and won’t easily leave…

I was drawn in by the haunting look — I felt I was part of the photograph and she was watching me, waiting to see my response. It’s a photograph that will stay with me.

Indeed. I’ve just written a draft for it–it’s a very evocative image.

I’ll have to drop by and read it. I’m curious what you made of her.

My vision is not great, so I saw a young lad–and away I went with my story… :)

I can’t quite put my finger on this poem. Slightly eerie, slightly melancholy, slightly reaching for something just between the lines. But 100% well written!

I love dialogue. Do you?
