Challenge #76 FFfAW: Henry’s Delusions or Mustang

Henry the horse had always been given to delusions. Humorous but harmless. We shouldn’t laugh at Henry’s expense, but sometimes . . .

Like when he decided he was a mustang. No, not the western wild horse. The Ford muscle car. He bragged about his horsepower, what he had under the hood. He challenged Valliant and Chevette to drag races up and down the lane to the farm. Both declined.

So, he tried the Zimmerman’s tractor. The Zimmermans raised cattle next door. Henry did succeed in starting a stampede. Maybe he was a wild western horse after all. {98 words}

      Yes. I imagine if we were like Dr. Dolittle, we would find out a lot.

    It’s all in perspective! Great show of that with this photo prompt (thanks, again). I like how this reminded me of the snail Turbo, but in Horse form and it’s own unique twists. He thought more of himself (believed bigger things for himself), and that’s inspiring. And entertaining lol.

      Leaving the farm was very hard. So many stories of unique, entertaining, poignant and bittersweet times, animals, and people.

      The pony in the picture would definitely agree. He dreamed of being a lot of things. He got to enjoy his final days free on the farm. His companion pony went first, and he did miss her like the characters in your Shanks story miss each other.

                  I’ve actually seen episodes — I checked and it was on while I was care-giving my mother. I think that’s why I didn’t watch many episodes — my mother didn’t like it, and I cried a lot.

              Probably don’t film in the summer — it does get hot in Alberta — even in the foothills of the Rockies.

      I don’t know why, but the pony did love to stand next to our cars. Glad you got a laugh and smile from Henry’s story.
